Ask if you are a candidate for NO-PREP Lumineers by Cerinate or Venus Veneers!

LUMINEERS BY CERINATE and Venus Veneers are a terrific cosmetic solution for permanently stained, chipped, discolored, misaligned teeth, or even to revitalize old crown and bridgework. Both veneer systems are  a porcelain veneer that can be made as thin as a contact lens and is placed over existing teeth without requiring painful removal of sensitive tooth structure (unlike traditional veneers.)

LUMINEERS can only be made from patented Cerinate porcelain. Venus can only be made from patented Venus porcelain. These revolutionary porcelains are crafted through a proprietary process unavailable anywhere other than the Cerinate Smile Design Studios owned by Den-Mat Corporation or the Venus Smile Center Labs. In just two or three visits to the dentist, LUMINEERS or Venus Veneers provides a custom-made smile clinically proven to last up to 20 years.

Frequently Asked Questions about Lumineers

Q:

How are LUMINEERS ™ BY CERINATE® and Venus Veneers different than traditional veneer procedures?

A:

LUMINEERS BY CERINATE and Venus Veneers are unique in that they are contact lens-thin (approximately .2 mm) and super translucent. Traditional veneers are fused or bonded to teeth, and generally your dentist will need to grind down the tooth for a good fit. Since LUMINEERS and Venus Veneers are so thin, little to no tooth reduction is necessary. In addition, LUMINEERS and Venus Veneers resist micro-leakage and micro-cracking.

Q:

I’ve heard that a veneer procedure hurts? Is that true with this technique?

A:

It’s true that because most veneer procedures require a substantial amount of tooth structure removal, that there is pain and discomfort involved. Our technique is completely different because there is no need for grinding, cutting or filing of teeth in almost all cases. Consequently, no anesthetic or numbing shots are needed. Plus, no uncomfortable temporaries are required while you wait for your thin veneers to be created. Once the procedure is completed, there is no post-placement discomfort or sensitivity, which means they will look natural and feel comfortable from the start.

Q:

I think I need braces, but I really don't want to go through the inconvenient, unsightly and time-intensive process. Can I get LUMINEERS or Venus Veneers instead?

A:

In most cases, yes. Your dentist will be able to evaluate your teeth and decide whether orthodontics is necessary. If you do not have a severe problem, LUMINEERS and Venus Veneers will change the shape and alignment of teeth, making them look straighter and more uniform.

Q:

How long will this type of veneers last?

A:

LUMINEERS has unparalleled longevity. Clinical testing has proven that a LUMINEERS procedure lasts and looks great for up to 20 years.  Venus Veneers have the same results as Lumineers in our experience.

Q:

Can LUMINEERS or Venus Veneers be taken off if I want them removed?

A:

Yes, they are completely reversible. This is largely due to the no reduction in sensitive tooth structure so that your natural teeth are still in tact and strong. If removed, the smoothness of the enamel will be slightly different than before in most cases. The polishing of the tooth can improve that, however.

Q:

With LUMINEERS, Venus Veneers or any porcelain crowns, do I need to use a special toothpaste or floss a different way?

A:

Porcelain is similar in structure to real tooth enamel. Consequently, you should always try to choose a low-abrasion toothpaste that will remove plaque, stain and tartar gently but effectively.

Q:

With veneers, can I still chew gum and eat my favorite sticky foods like corn or candy?

A:

There are no limitations to what you can eat or drink as thin veneers are placed over original teeth in the most durable way possible. However you should continue to visit your dentist every 6 months for a check-up and cleaning to keep your veneers in good condition.

Q:

Why have I never heard of LUMINEERS before?

A:
More than 5,000 dentists nationwide use LUMINEERS BY CERINATE and we continue to educate the dental community on this new procedure. Recently, a national advertising campaign has been launched to educate consumers about this noninvasive technique. Venus Veneers are a rather new addition to the veneer line we see available and are actually an improvement in the thin veneer technique from previous techniques and laboratory products. We highly recommend Venus Veneers as the best system we currently use.
