John's Home in Morijo 2008

John Leshoe's family, wife Kimaloc in the red bandana

At John Leshou's home, this is the view

The new addition, a master bedroom and shower

Tents are the preferred abode for many of the KMO team in Morijo

Johns has converted his patio into a porch and now a den area where the team spends many nights in deep conversations about the day's events.

The nightly fireside visitation with the locals. Here, Dolly cooking with the boys and girls

John's relatives and some of his children

John's relatives took good care of us in Morijo. This is the kitchen.

Pam Smith, our nurse and USA Coordinator for KMO roasting marshmallows with the kids

John's living room is the main gathering place for the team while in Morijo

Kenyans eat sitting at couches with food on the coffee table in this part of Kenya

John, our host, and our driver

Sheila, Pam and Tyler discussing the important things in life: girlfriends!

Tyler and Olakula, John's youngest son, played with the iPod and Tyler sang for us, karaoke style

Jeannine and Penny bend Tyler's ear

John's kids and relatives kids loved to pose for the camera and even become photographers themselves

Tyler had much advice given to him in Kenya

Going ape in front of the camera was no problem

Charity and George, our driver/singer

Tyler doing his devotional in the quiet times

Luke holding the ear piercing instrument that will be used on his ear soon

A demonstration of the ear piercing technique for the camera. The actual event was video taped and photographed by many on our team as it was said by the Masai to be one of the most painful rites of passage of the young Masai people. Luke and Britney said.....NOTTTTTT!!!!!

Britney was preparing for the ear piercing also. She and Luke planned this business months in advance and dared one another to not chicken out.

Tyler and Olakula...Tyler won the battle of staying awake the longest.

John and Kimaloc receiving gifts for hosting our team in their home for the seventh year.

John's wife Kimaloc does not speak any English but is a wonderful host and support for our team.

John loves his give of a DVD of the National Parks of the USA since he is the chief of the guides for the national parks of Kenya.

The 10/40 Window is an area stretching from 10° to 40° north of the equator from West Africa to East Asia. Did you know that 90 percent of all unreached people groups live in this region of the world? The 10/40 Window is identified as having less than 2 percent of their populations as evangelical Christians.
